IS101 Experience
I had a great experience in IS101-3003/5, Spring 2026. As I said at the beginning of IS101 in the discussion, I didn't know what IS101 was. The class was very good at completing assignments, etc. There were times when I used to struggle and fall behind in work. But in the end, I keep catching up with the work. I believe that time management is really one thing that one needs to manage when taking IS101 to succeed in this course.
My Experience of IS101
The course was great, learning about the MOS office pro is a great skill and experience that we use Word, Excel, and PowerPoint outside of IS101, either personal, job, etc. IS101 had amazing classmates. People were so nice and ready to help me when I didn't understand an assignment. Even though I didn't know or talk to all the students in my classroom, they seemed like really good people. Professor Wu was very professional and very helpful when it came to asking questions and showing how to do the correct assignments.
Gain from IS101
I learned and gained so much from the course, which taught me and showed me the MOS Office in a different way. I gained too much experience and skill by doing MOS, along with the help of Professor Wu. Also, from the classmate knowing them and the classroom, and also sharing their struggles and accomplishments on blogging, I learned and gained that everyone can have the same experience and difference experience taking IS101.

Hi Mizrain, I really liked the background on your blog, and your PowerPoint presentation last Saturday honestly looked very polished and professional. I did not really have the patience for the Zoom sections myself because they felt tedious to me, so I was impressed that you made everything flow smoothly, especially with the placements and overall design of your slides. Your presentation actually gave me ideas for how I want to organize future PowerPoints because the layout looked clean without feeling overcrowded. I also related to your post about getting bored easily because my brain also wants to jump between multiple things at once instead of focusing on one task for a long time. Sometimes I try to spread things out little by little just to keep myself moving, even if my attention span is mentally fighting me the entire time.
ReplyDeleteHi Mizrain! Time management is definitely the most important thing to have for this class, and in life in general I suppose!
ReplyDeleteHey Mizrain, this class did feel like a small little community, everyone had their own insight and lives. It was really enjoyable seeing everyone's slideshows as well.
ReplyDeleteHi Mizrain, I also agree that time management is one of the biggest skills in this class, it really makes a difference when keeping up with assignments.
ReplyDeleteHi Mizrain, I really liked the 3D chapter in LabSim because I had always seen that feature before but never actually used it. Honestly, I don’t know why I ignored it for so long because now I really like it haha. I’ll definitely be using it from now on though.
ReplyDeleteThanks for wishing us the best and also to you! I also want to say your latest presentation about the wonders of the world is absolutely astonishing. I learn PowerPoint in one day and I didn't really care about everything works in it. However, with your presentation, still amazes me until today. The sheer improvement that you made from the first presentation is a huge gap, think of the grand canyons! Yes that kind of gap. Again, applause to you and keep on making good work with presentation and with the other things we learned in this course.
ReplyDeleteHi Mizrain, I'm a big believer that this class highlighted how important time management was. If you were able to stay consistent and ahead it reflected in your performance vise versa, this class was a great teacher for that.
ReplyDeleteI'm happy that you were able to catch up in the end! We did learn many valuable things both academically and personally growth-wise. I also did a portion of one of my blog posts about 3D Models, I think I'd like to learn more about them outside of class to use in art. It was great reading your blogs.
ReplyDeleteHi Mizrain. You have a point when you say that time management is necessary in this class. Lack of time management can make the classwork overwhelming.
ReplyDeleteHello Mizrain. I was in the same boat at the beginning of the semester, I didn't fully understand what IS-101 was about at the time. I'm glad you gained so much from the MOS exams!
ReplyDeleteHey Mizrain, I feel the same way about replying to blogs and posting blogs. Before I start, I would feel like it's such a chore and I don't want to do it because it doesn't matter and it is all for grades in everyone's minds. But I realized people actually cared about what I wrote and have seen people catch the smallest details in my blogs, I realized people are still nice and not what I thought they would be :)
